Dreaming of Lake in Islam

A lake is read as water that stays in one place, so its condition is read as a condition that lasts. A calm, clear lake is the settled good reading: a life that has come to rest, provision that is not in flood and not in drought, an arrangement holding steady. A murky or stagnant lake turns it toward something that has stopped being renewed — a livelihood, a friendship, an understanding that nobody has stirred in a long while. Drinking from a clear lake is receiving what it stands for; drinking and not being satisfied was read as a benefit that does not meet the need it was sought for. A lake drying up points to a source of support diminishing, and the readings direct attention to the source rather than to the water. Swimming in a lake is read as being at ease inside a matter one has entered; drowning in one belongs to its own chapter. A lake in an unexpected place was read as good arriving where nobody had arranged for it. Seeing one's reflection in still water was read as a look at one's own state.
