An orange is read by its condition and by what is done with it. A sweet orange eaten whole is read as provision that is lawful and agreeable, the kind that does not need explaining. Peeling an orange is read as effort that has to come before benefit; the older interpretations noticed that the rind must be removed by hand, so the fruit stands for a good that is reached rather than handed over. Giving oranges away turns the reading toward generosity, and toward a benefit shared without the giver losing anything. A sour or dry orange reads as expectation that did not match the thing itself — provision arriving with a difficulty inside it. A tree heavy with oranges is read as a household or a work with more good in it than one person needs. An orange that is rotten under a sound skin is the caution: something presented well whose substance is not sound.
Citrus carries its favourable reading for reasons anyone can see: it is fragrant, it keeps, it is sweet without being rich, and it is eaten by hand and shared easily. The tradition praises the believer by likening him to fruit that is both good to taste and good to smell, and the orange sits comfortably in that image. No hidden meaning is claimed beyond that plain fittingness.
This is not a sign of money coming, not a health signal, and not a ruling of any kind. A fruit eaten before bed, a season, a smell in the house, a memory of someone who used to bring them — any of these makes the dream on its own, and most of what is seen at night is simply the day returning. Read it lightly. If for any reason it disturbed you, seek refuge in Allah from its harm, turn onto your other side, and do not tell it around.

Dream interpretations are drawn from classical Islamic sources where one exists, and otherwise from general symbolism. They are guidance, never a ruling. Allah knows best.
