The oven is read as the household's engine rather than as an object. A hot oven with bread baking in it is the plain good form: earnings that are actually working, a house whose provision is in motion. A cold oven, or one gone out is read as a livelihood standing idle, and the older interpreters took it as a matter needing attention rather than as poverty arriving. Bread that burns in the oven turns the reading toward haste, or toward good effort spoiled at the last stage. Dough put in but never taken out is read as work begun and left. An oven overflowing, or fire escaping it, is the alarming form, and it is read as something in the household that has gone past its proper bounds. Baking for others, or a neighbour taking bread from your oven, is read favourably as provision that reaches beyond the house that produced it.
The Arabic word tannur is the same word used in the Qur'an for the strange sign that began the Flood, in Hud 11:40 and al-Mu'minun 23:27: the oven gushed forth. That is why the dream tradition treats an overflowing oven so seriously while treating a working one as ordinary blessing. Alongside that, the plain domestic fact does most of the work: the oven was one fire per household, shared by neighbours, and whether it was lit was the visible measure of whether a family was eating.
None of this is a forecast of your finances. A dream of a cold oven is not a warning of hardship, and a dream of baking bread is not a promise of income; neither is a ruling, and neither should change a decision on its own. Hunger, a long day of cooking, or worry about money will each produce this dream unaided. If it left you afraid, seek refuge in Allah from its harm, turn onto your other side, and do not relate it to anyone.

Dream interpretations are drawn from classical Islamic sources where one exists, and otherwise from general symbolism. They are guidance, never a ruling. Allah knows best.
