A quarrel is read by how it ends, not by how loud it is. Arguing with someone you know is the most common form, and the older interpreters turned it back on the relationship itself rather than treating it as a sign about that person; it is read as something unsaid between you. Quarrelling with a stranger is read as friction with circumstances rather than with a person. A quarrel that ends in reconciliation, or hands shaken is the favourable form throughout, and is read as a matter closing. A quarrel you walk away from without speaking is read as a decision to leave something unresolved, which the readings treat as neither good nor bad on its own. Watching others quarrel without joining is read as being near a dispute you are not party to. A quarrel that turns to blows carries the darkest reading, attached to harm done by words rather than to violence. Losing your voice in an argument is read as a claim you cannot press.
The association is not a symbolic one. Disputing among yourselves is named in al-Anfal 8:46 as the thing that makes people fail and their strength depart, and Arabic keeps that sense: a quarrel is the loss of a shared position, not merely an exchange of anger. The dream books read it accordingly, weighing what the quarrel cost rather than who won it.
This dream does not tell you that someone bears a grudge, does not identify who is in the wrong, and is not evidence for anything you might raise with the person you dreamt of. It predicts no falling-out. Tension you are carrying from the day, a conversation you rehearsed before sleeping and any unfinished argument will produce this dream on their own. If it left you angry or shaken, the taught response is to seek refuge in Allah from its harm, shift onto your other side, and not to repeat it to anyone, least of all to the person you saw.

Dream interpretations are drawn from classical Islamic sources where one exists, and otherwise from general symbolism. They are guidance, never a ruling. Allah knows best.
