A queen is read as authority carried by a woman, and the details decide which kind. A queen who receives the dreamer well is the settled favourable form: honour or benefit arriving through a woman of standing — a mother, a wife, a woman of the family, or a woman whose decision matters in the dreamer's affairs. A queen who refuses, dismisses or ignores the dreamer turns the reading toward a door closed at a level above the dreamer's reach. Becoming a queen, for a woman was read as her position within her household being recognised rather than as any change of rank. A queen without a kingdom, or one who has been deposed is read as authority that has lost its ground: title remaining where influence has gone. Serving or advising a queen places the dreamer near power without holding it. A quarrel in a queen's presence was read as a dispute that will be settled by someone other than the parties to it.
The image the interpreters worked from is Qur'anic. In an-Naml 27:23 a woman is described ruling over a people and given a great throne, and the account that follows shows her taking counsel, weighing the matter, and finally submitting with clear sight rather than by force. So the queen in a dream is read as sound judgement held by a woman as much as it is read as rank — deliberation, not display.
This is not a forecast of status, wealth or marriage, and it does not describe a real woman you know. It settles nothing and obliges nothing. Television, a coronation in the news, family politics or a decision you are waiting on from someone else all put this figure into sleep on their own. If the dream left you uneasy, seek refuge in Allah from what troubled you, turn onto your other side, and do not repeat it.

Dream interpretations are drawn from classical Islamic sources where one exists, and otherwise from general symbolism. They are guidance, never a ruling. Allah knows best.
