A wall is read by whether it stands, and by what it is holding out or holding up. A sound, high wall is the settled favourable form: protection in place, and often a person — the older readings took a wall for a man of strength on whom a household leans. A wall that leans, cracks or collapses turns the reading toward support weakening, and the interpreters read the direction of the fall as part of it: falling inward is harm reaching the household, falling outward is exposure. Repairing or rebuilding a wall is read favourably as shoring up what protects others, particularly where the dreamer gains nothing by it. Being walled in with no door is read as constraint the dreamer did not choose and cannot presently argue with. Climbing over a wall points to going around a limit rather than through it, and the older sources weighed whether the limit was rightful. A wall with a gap in it is read as protection that is real but incomplete, with the gap being the thing worth attention.
The clearest image is in al-Kahf 18:77, where a wall in a town that had refused hospitality is found about to fall and is set upright without payment; 18:82 then explains that beneath it lay a treasure belonging to two orphan boys, and that it was raised so they could reach their maturity and take it out. So a wall in that passage is protection standing over what belongs to the weak — which is exactly how the interpreters read it: not a barrier, but a covering.
This is not a warning about a building, a house or anyone's safety, and it is not a ruling. A collapsing wall in sleep foretells nothing about a person you fear for. Building work, a house you worry about, a strained relationship with someone you depend on, and noise in the night all produce it. If it alarmed you, seek refuge in Allah, change the side you are lying on, and do not tell the dream.

Dream interpretations are drawn from classical Islamic sources where one exists, and otherwise from general symbolism. They are guidance, never a ruling. Allah knows best.
